AY Makun Sheds Light On State Of Things In Nollywood

Published

on

AY has thrown a jab at Nollywood, in the wake of veteran actor Kevin Aduba going public with the state of things in the movie industry which according to him has the ‘fakest’ lives and people.

According to AY, he decided to come forward with more scathing details about Nollywood after Kevin Aduba’s post, because he has also been exposed to the good, the bad and ugly. The comedian disclosed that the ‘fakeness’ in Nollywood is fast becoming a legacy designed for posterity, and the Nigerian movie industry is a backstabbing community where some pretend to love you in the open and condemn all your determination and efforts to succeed when you are not there.
He wrote;
As a growing actor and a movie producer, NOLLYWOOD has exposed me to both the good, the bad and ugly.Barely few years in the industry, i have experienced all sorts from the stables of the high and mighty self entitled ‘stakeholders’, to the very insecured individuals whose only claim to fame is an old testament fact of “We started this industry”.The above post by @kevinikeduba, has given me the courage to further introduce you to our Nollywood. So welcome to an industry where rivalry and fakeness is fast becoming a legacy designed for posterity.
Welcome to a backstabbing community where some pretend to love you in the open and condenm all your determination and efforts to succeed when you are not there. Welcome to an industry where enmity reigns supreme… Eg “If you are using her in the movie, then i can’t be on it”, or “i can’t be in your film and not play the lead role”. Welcome to an industry where some actors have more visible roles on Instagram and Red Carpets. Welcome to an industry where some would maintain a position that would make you keep to yourself rather than ask for a selfie.

Welcome to an industry where some cannot use their platforms to help another colleague to promote his or her work(including the ones they are contracted for). Welcome to an industry where most families mainly depend on public support when one of our own falls sick.
Welcome to an industry where some engages themselves daily on WhatsApp groups chatting about how others have no business making movies (even when they break their own records back to back). Moving the industry forward goes beyond seeking for the downfall of others, or basking in the euphoria of an old glory that has been taken over by trend and time.
Above all, i still see Nollywood as a special place; a place filled with creative geniuses.Working together and supporting ourselves can only make greater arts happen to the diverse audiences we all set out to entertain.But at the end of each plastic characters that comes with movie productions, let’s find a way to share our real side. It’ll either scare away every fake person in our life or it will inspire them to finally let go of that mirage called “perfection”

Controversial Nigerian socialite, Pretty Mike,  has called Nigerian celebrities who have had plastic surgery.

According to him Pretty Mike, some popular Nigerian female celebrities and IG models have had Brazilian butt lift and the trend is increasing due to broken homes.

The socialite further disclosed that these Nigerian celebrities who have had plastic surgery, pay 20k-35k consultation fee and between 800k-2Million to get a banging body.

He wrote;

BUTT ENLARGEMENT…It’s no news that our ladies who aren’t comfortable with their bodies or parts have regained their confidence through plastic surgery,from breast lift to liposuction of the arm,abdomen and fat transfer to the butt known as the BBL (Brazilian butt lift)so don’t think that your neighbor or ex gf you haven’t seen in a while just added weight in the right areas,she’s definitely gone under the knife.

We also have Centres in Lagos where they do these surgeries,the most common which is grandville medlaser in VGC,he became more popular when he did the free surgery for ladies who had over 11k followers and didnt mind posting their procedures showing their faces,likes of #sandraiwok #suzilicious jumped on it,my bird told me she even did hers twice.

Then we have Dr Femi of the lekkihillplasticsurgery who I heard broke out from grandville medlaser, mehn have you seen the way he moulds asses and his lollipop cut for breast augmentation 😍😍then down to Victoria island we have Kleinburgmedspa,they are also very good and I think they’re the only ones have seen done hips unlike the rest who just gives everyone the Apple butt shape,but what do I know clients preference I guess 🤷🏾‍♀this Bbl is now so common with 20k-35k consultation fee and between 800k-2Million you can get a banging body in Lagos,just get ready not to sit for at least 3weeks (you don’t want the fat pumped in getting fucked up).we have the likes of #berbiedoll who hyped her procedure on her snap #kunmi123 #Ronke who have worked on their bodies,our celebs are not even left out:;tonto dike,ini edo,Onyi Alex,princess bbn,Toke makinwa…..it’s very hard to know the real from fake now as Lagos has been littered with big bum bums and I can strongly say, I’m a big fan and I love the movement.

To be continued In my next part 2 post…we are going to dig out__1.all the names of people u think have gone under the knife, 2.Why Married women are under pressure to go under the knife 3.Why it is the most requested gift from ladies 4.Why most ladies are badly saving up for Lipo 5.
